½ cup unsalted butter
½ (8 ounce) package cream cheese
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 pint heavy whipping cream
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
¼ teaspoon salt

Directions

  1. Melt butter in a medium nonstick saucepan over medium heat. Stir in cream cheese and garlic using a wire whisk until smooth, about 5 minutes. Add heavy cream a little at a time and whisk until smooth, cooking slow over medium-low heat, 7 to 10 minutes. Stir in Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until blended. Adjust seasonings to taste. Remove from heat.

This recipe is the best and most delicious homemade Alfredo sauce. It's really creamy, and I promise that you will not make it any other way. When I cook this at the firehouse this will feed 5 of us and we'll have leftovers. Serve over pasta.
