Ingredients

1 (14 ounce) package firm tofu, cut into 1/4-inch slices
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vegetable oil
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 green onions, chopped
1 tablespoon water
1 teaspoon sesame seeds
½ teaspoon sesame oil
½ teaspoon Korean red pepper powder
1 pinch ground black pepper
1 pinch Korean red pepper flakes

Directions

  1. Season tofu with salt.

  2. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add tofu in a single layer, cook until golden brown and easily released from the bottom of the skillet, about 3 minutes. Flip and continue cooking until golden brown on the second side, about 3 minutes more.

  3. Mix soy sauce, green onions, water, sesame seeds, sesame oil, red pepper powder, and black pepper together in a small bowl. Spread over the cooked tofu. Garnish with red pepper flakes.
