1 (16 oz) ring smoked sausage, thinly sliced
2 (16 ounce) cans diced tomatoes
½ red onion, chopped
1 (4.5 ounce) can sliced mushrooms, drained
1 dash hot pepper sauce (such as Frank's RedHot®), or to taste

Directions

  1. Pour bean with bacon soup into a large saucepan and cook over medium-low heat until warmed through, 5 to 7 minutes.

  2. Stir tomatoes, sausage, onion, mushrooms, and hot sauce into the soup. Reduce heat to low and cook soup at a simmer, stirring occasionally, until the tomatoes are breaking down, about 1 hour.
