1 tablespoon parsley flakes
3 bay leaves
1 ½ teaspoons red pepper flakes
⅓ teaspoon ground black pepper, or to taste

Directions

  1. Combine roast, water, basil, oregano, salt, garlic powder, parsley flakes, bay leaves, red pepper flakes, and black pepper together in a slow cooker.

  2. Cook in the slow cooker set to Low for 8 to 10 hours. Remove bay leaves and shred meat using two forks.
