Ingredients

½ cup butter, softened
½ cup shortening
⅓ (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ teaspoon salt
3 ½ cups confectioners' sugar
2 tablespoons heavy cream, or more as needed
8 chocolate sandwich cookies (such as Oreo®), finely crushed

Directions

  1. Combine butter, shortening, and cream cheese in a bowl, beat with an electric mixer until creamy. Add vanilla extract and salt. Beat in confectioners' sugar, 1 cup at a time, until well incorporated. Add enough heavy cream to thin frosting to desired consistency. Fold in crushed cookies.
