Ingredients

3 (3.5 ounce) links Italian sausage, casings removed
2 (16 ounce) jars Alfredo sauce
1 cup whole milk
1 habanero pepper, finely chopped
1 cup shredded pepper Jack cheese, divided
2 (16 ounce) boxes penne pasta
3 tomatoes, diced
5 green onions, finely chopped

Directions

  1. Cook and stir sausage in a skillet over high heat until lightly browned, about 5 minutes. Drain excess grease.

  2. Add Alfredo sauce, milk, and habanero pepper to the skillet. Cook over medium heat until bubbly, about 10 minutes. Reduce heat to a simmer and add 1/2 cup pepper Jack cheese. Cover and cook sauce until thickens, about 10 minutes.

  3. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil, add penne and cook, stirring occasionally, until tender yet firm to the bite, about 11 minutes. Drain.

  4. Pour sauce over pasta, garnish with remaining pepper Jack cheese, diced tomatoes, and green onions. Cover for a few minutes to melt the cheese.
