1 pound ground beef
2 (14 ounce) cans petite diced tomatoes
1 cup long-grain rice
1 cup chopped green bell pepper
1 cup chopped onion
¼ cup beef broth
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 teaspoons chili powder
1 teaspoon browning and seasoning sauce (such as Kitchen Bouquet)
1 teaspoon dried thyme

Directions

  1. Turn on a multi-functional pressure cooker (such as Instant Pot®) and select Saute function. Cook and stir until browned and crumbly, 5 to 7 minutes. Drain if necessary.

  2. Stir tomatoes, rice, bell pepper, onion, beef broth, garlic, chili powder, seasoning sauce, and thyme into the pot. Close and lock the lid. Select low pressure according to manufacturer's instructions, set timer for 12 minutes. Allow 10 to 15 minutes for pressure to build.

  3. Release pressure using the natural-release method according to manufacturer's instructions for 10 minutes. Unlock and remove the lid.
