½ cup apple cider vinegar
½ cup frozen apple juice concentrate
⅓ cup cooked crumbled bacon, ground in spice grinder
¼ cup soy sauce
¼ cup packed brown sugar
2 teaspoons yellow mustard
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
½ teaspoon lemon pepper
2 bay leaves
½ cup grated onion
½ cup black tea leaves

Directions

  1. Combine ketchup, vinegar, apple juice concentrate, bacon, soy sauce, brown sugar, mustard, garlic powder, paprika, lemon pepper, and bay leaves together in a large saucepan, bring to a boil. Stir onion and tea leaves into ketchup mixture, reduce heat, and simmer, stirring often, until sauce is slightly thickened, 10 to 15 minutes. Strain sauce and cool.
