1 (28 ounce) jar pasta sauce
1 ¼ pounds ground turkey
½ cup shredded low-fat Monterey Jack cheese
¼ cup crumbled reduced-fat feta cheese
¼ cup thinly sliced spinach
1 extra large egg
1 medium shallot, diced
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 clove garlic, minced, or more to taste
1 teaspoon chopped fresh oregano
1 teaspoon chopped fresh rosemary
1 teaspoon sea salt
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Pour pasta sauce into a 9x13-inch glass baking dish.

  2. Combine turkey, Monterey Jack cheese, feta cheese, spinach, egg, shallot, Parmesan, basil, olive oil, garlic, oregano, rosemary, salt, and pepper in a medium bowl. Gently form into 12 meatballs. Arrange evenly over the pasta sauce. Cover baking dish with foil.

  3. Bake in the preheated oven until an instant-read thermometer inserted into the center reads at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C), 20 to 25 minutes.
