Ingredients

2 (12 ounce) bags cooked cocktail shrimp, rinsed and tails removed
1 celery stalk
½ onion
1 clove garlic
¼ cup fresh parsley, or to taste
1 egg
2 teaspoons seafood seasoning (such as Old Bay®)
¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
2 tablespoons olive oil
6 whole wheat English muffins

Directions

  1. Place shrimp in a colander and squeeze out all excess water. Transfer shrimp to a food processor and grind. Transfer to a large bowl.

  2. Chop celery, onion, garlic, and parsley in the food processor, add to the bowl with the shrimp. Add egg, seafood seasoning, and cayenne pepper to the bowl and mix well. Form 6 patties using your hands.

  3. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Cook patties until browned, 3 to 5 minutes. Turn over and cook until browned, 3 to 5 minutes more.

  4. While shrimp burgers are cooking, toast English muffins. Place each burger on a toasted English muffin.
