Ingredients

1 (16 ounce) package extra-firm tofu
½ cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons honey
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon white vinegar
1 tablespoon water
1 green onion, diced
1 teaspoon fish sauce
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
½ teaspoon ground black pepper

Directions

  1. Wrap tofu in paper towels to remove moisture.

  2. Combine soy sauce, honey, garlic, vinegar, water, green onion, fish sauce, red pepper flakes, and black pepper together in a bowl to form the marinade.

  3. Cut tofu into 1/2-inch slices. Place in a large glass dish or gallon-sized plastic bag and pour in the marinade.

  4. Chill tofu in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, tossing occasionally.
